Ruby and Clementine: Not the best photo but I had to include it to remind me of how they were both 'helping' me decorate Felix's birthday cake the other day at soccer. We sat on the picnic rug and together tried our hardest to a) not get grass in the icing and b) not eat all the decoration lollies so as to leave some for Felix and his team. Oh and c) try not to step on said cake, once it was ready.
Was no mean feat I can tell you.
And here's another photo of Clementine practising one of her signature moves. She had a hearing test the other day and a hearing aid trial was suggested. After a brief period of bloody hell what next? from me I pulled myself together and remembered how hard it was a year ago to imagine Clementine wearing glasses, and how she's handled that so much better than any of us expected. So if a hearing aid will get her to say all those soft sounds she currently can't hear, bring it on I say.
Although how she'll handle running on the soccer field in a couple of years' time wearing her glasses and hearing aid is anyone's guess. I think I'll be needing a bigger handbag for all that paraphernalia.
